Hey guys,

Sorry I have been so slack with my posts but I didn’t want to blog on my holidays so I could catch up with my family. Back to reality again after a great trip back to Ireland for a fantastic family wedding .

I want to get back into it with a review on the Rimmel wake me up concealer today.

My favourite concealer is my Mac Pro longwear but sometimes it’s a bit too heavy for every day use.

The Rimmel concealer is lovely however the coverage isn’t super strong but this is what I was looking for. If you are very tired and need to cover extreme dark circles you may need to layer this product.

At first I wasn’t overly impressed but after a few more weeks of wear I am really liking this product. It’s consistency is good and doesn’t tend to cake in my lines. (After a long haul flight it isn’t sitting great on my skin but nothing will at this point as my skin is so dry. I was sick at home too and a bit run down generally so I am not letting the last two weeks affect my judgement)

If I want lasting power I put a tiny dab of powder over the top. It is available in 3 shades: Ivory, classic beige and soft beige. I choose the latter and its a good match to my skin tone.

The product is meant to be full coverage and illuminating with vitamin complex and peptides.

Pros:
Good choice of colours that seem to match well
Nice application wand
Good packaging
Great texture
Illuminates well under the eyes giving a fresh look
Conceals under eyes and other blemishes
Great on its own if you are having a make up free day

Cons:
Coverage is not full coverage for me but good enough for during the day
If skin is very dry around the eyes it can cake but this can happen with most concealers so you just have to keep hydrating the skin

I have been applying with a beauty blender and like I said earlier finishing with a light dusting of powder or else using a finishing spray.

Verdict:
4/5

Have any of you tried this or have you any other favourites?
Have a great week

Jessie X
