Can pregnant clients do all of the treatments?2023-02-09T21:28:22+00:00

While we love beautifying our pregnant ladies the safety of the bubs and mom to be comes first. For that reason there are some treatments we are not allowed do. Skin needling, peels, massage (at certain times during the pregnancy) and Yumi lashes are not permitted. Vitamin A (Retinol) cannot be used in facials or as part of a home care routine either. If in doubt please call us and we will advise.

What is the down time with needling?2017-03-16T21:30:50+00:00

Again this varies from person to person. Generally you will be red for 2-3 days. The intense redness will be for the first 12 hours and it may feel like you have sunburn on the area. There will be a heating sensation on the skin immediately afterwards but this cools down quickly. You can apply mineral make up 12 hours after and post treatment cream and advice will be provided that you must follow for a week. The skin may feel tight and dry for the first few days and you may experience some flaking and dry areas. This is normal and can be part of the process.

How long until I see results?2017-03-16T21:30:27+00:00

It takes up to 6 weeks for the new collagen to form and for you to see the final results. After the initial erythema fades you will see a glow to the skin and an immediate plumping effect. When doing a course you will not see the overall combined results until a few weeks after the last treatment.

How many Micro needling sessions do I need and can anyone do it?2020-08-24T13:12:41+01:00

This varies from person to person. As a general guideline we recommend a course of 3. People with scarring or very deep lines may need more treatments. This will be outlined in an initial skincare consultation. Some people like to do just one treatment. This is a safe treatment and suitable for most people but there are some contraindications and we will go through all this in a consultation.

What is the down time after peels?2017-03-16T21:29:37+00:00

It is very minimal. Your skin may be pink or red for a few hours after the treatment. You will be given specific after care advice. You may experience light flaking of the skin for a few days post treatment.

Do peels hurt?2017-03-16T21:29:09+00:00

People often feel a hot or itchy sensation on the skin but the peels we do will not hurt. This is very normal and will start to ease after a few minutes. If at any point you get nervous and feel it is too hot, the peel can be removed quickly. All therapists are highly qualified in this area and will not do anything that can be harmful to your skin. You are in safe hands.

Why do I need to prep my skin prior to a peel?2017-03-16T21:28:47+00:00

Skin peels generally have high levels of active ingredients and to get the best results from your treatment prep is vital. If you have never used active products and you apply a peel the skin may become sensitive. By introducing the ingredients to your skin over a few weeks prior to peels the receptors are open and get used to the ingredients. When you apply the peel with similar ingredients (but at a higher level) the receptors will know what is happen and not freak out. This results in a better and safer treatment for you.

Why do I need a patch test for waxing, tinting or Yumi lashes?2017-03-16T21:28:22+00:00

Some people can have sensitivities to different products so it is always safer to get a patch test if you have never had a waxing treatment or tint applied before. It only takes a few minutes and ensures your treatment is 100% safe. We may decline treatment if you do not agree to a patch test.

Will I react to these products?2017-03-16T21:27:57+00:00

We only stock the best so it is very rare that anyone gets reactions. However everyone’s skin is different and that is why we offer free consultation. We will only advise what will be good for you and what will be beneficial for your skin type. Some active products need to be introduced to your routine slowly and we will make a plan for you to follow.
