Review time again!

The weather has been HOT in Sydney and it looks like we are getting a late summer.

With hot weather comes sweat and a hot make up mess! Now I am not the biggest lover of pressed or loose powders but for make up to last all day they are an essential step in the process. They finish of any make up application and are a must for bridal or occasion application.

I can’t even tell you how many times I have applied the perfect foundation only to have it melted by the time I get to work or half way through a night out.

I have been using the BenNye Rose Petal luxury loose powder in the dome jar for the past few months and I have been converted. It has been my go to product.

To start with I was not a fan. I felt is was a little cakey and didn’t do the job I wanted it to. This is why you always always have to persevere and trial a product correctly. I have been using it in the hot weather and its really working. My skin is dry and yes powder isn’t ideal, but i just give a little mist of a hydrating spray and its setting beautifully.

Verdict:

Consistency – a loose powder that can to be patted on with a puff or a damp beauty blender. I often just dab some on a big brush and sweep over face, particularly on my t zone and under my eyes to set my concealer.

Size– a very generous quantity. Be careful when opening because it can go everywhere. If you are using this for personal use it will last for months upon months. If for professional use, you will still get a very long time. I have 26gm and I can’t get through it!

Price– excellent. I purchased mine from Scotty’s Make up and Beauty for $18. This is serious value and proves you don’t have to buy super expensive powders.

Does it work– YES. The problem with these powder is there are so many different colours to choose from. We have all heard about the Banana powder made famous By Kim K. I also got sucked in to trying this but the shade is all wrong for me. I can’t wait to try it on the right complexion.
This is a neutral enough colour so should suit most skin types. Less is more and a little goes a long way.

This product can be purchased from camera ready cosmetics also

I am giving this a worthy 4/5.
