New York fashion week is over for another year and there were two make up looks that really caught my eye:

Diane Von Furstenberg
Lauren Conrad’s collection for Kohl’s

Two different looks completely.

There were tons of minimal/ no make up looks this year but the reason I loved DVFs look was because it’s so much fun. I recently did a post about using colour in make up and that’s exactly what famous artist Pat Mc Grath did. He used aquamarine liner on the lids with blue tones and pearl colours on the water line to make the eyes pop. The foundation looked dewey and fresh and is a perfect look for Spring 2016. Then again Kendal and Gigi make any look beautiful. My obsession continues!

I also thought Lauren Conrad’s show and make up was on point. Sometimes I feel she can be too safe but the pastel and champagne colours were perfect for her collection. It was very girly, elegant and romantic.
Charlotte Tilbury products were used to created pale pink lips and champagne smokey eyes. Skin was also fresh and glowing. This is an easy look to create at home. I know I’m writing about the make up looks but the clothes were to die for too.

There has been such a huge focus on contouring lately, it’s great to see clean and clear skin. I am all about the glamour and full on make up but there is nothing nicer then simple skin and a soft blush.

Did you see any looks you liked? Let’s see what London fashion week brings this weekend!
