On Monday I was lucky enough to be asked by the academy for make up artists to help out at a graduate fashion show from students

at
White House design
This was such a good opportunity and while I was nervous at the thought of doing it I was so excited. I posted a few snaps on my facebook page earlier in the week but just wanted to share them on my blog.

serious concentration

The brief was to create a smokey red/ copper eye, red lips and lots of highlight and blush on the cheeks. The look was very high fashion. We were lucky enough to be working on beautiful canvases. The models were all from Chadwick model agency. Absolutely stunning girls and guys and really lovely too. I was also very lucky that the rest of the make up artists were sweet hearts. We laughed away for the day and they were very encouraging and supportive. Everyone at Whitehouse Design were wonderful too.

The Academy For Makeup Artist Team

The one thing I took away from the day was it is always worth taking a risk. I was really nervous and when I was asked to help out I was going to take the easy way out and say no. I had the best day and got some amazing photos for my portfolio. Life is about taking risks and if we make mistakes we learn from them. It’s all about having a Can Do attitude.

Catwalk ready

If anyone is ever thinking about doing a short term or long term course in makeup in Sydney,  I cannot recommend The Academy for Make up artists enough. They are so professional and helpful and always keep in contact with students. I am always annoying them with questions and they always contact me. Thanks again for a great opportunity. Here is a past review I did https://jessiekessie.wordpress.com/2015/05/26/tafmua/
