I promised I would review this ages ago and I never got around to doing it! So what is light stim? This is an LED light therapy that claims to help improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles and blemishes.

I have worked with Red light therapy in the past and I cannot stress how beneficial it is for the skin. I have seen client’s skin literally transform from using this twice a week.

I decided to invest in a small hand held version for myself to use at home as part of my wedding prep. It is recommended to use 5 nights a week for 6-8 weeks. The light stays on one area for three mins and then you move it to another area. It takes me about twenty minutes in total and helps to stimate collagen production. Score!

5 times a week is a lot and I stuck with it for 4 weeks. After that I got lazy and used it twice a week. I recommend using it at the end of the day when you are trying to relax before bed. This is why I love it. Not only does it help your skin but it helps the mind. I find it really difficult to switch off after work and I always sleep sound after the light. Maybe this is just me but if I have had a really stressful day this seems to calm me down and get ready for sleep.

Besides that I did notice a general improvement to my skin. I can’t say that it gets rid of wrinkles but if you were vigilant with it I do feel it would reduce and prevent further damage.

What the website claims:

“Each LightStim product is composed of different wavelengths, or colors of light. When this beneficial light is applied directly to the skin it can help to increase collagen and elastin production, reduce inflammation, speed healing, increase circulation, and destroy acne bacteria.”

So is it worth the hype?

Sure is but only if you are willing to use it. Keep it in sight and use as instructed for the first few weeks to see results. Apply the peptide serum that is supplied too on cleansed skin. I don’t think you will be disappointed with this little gem. A super treatment to give the skin a little lift and zero down time.

With only one week to go to my wedding day I will be taking a few minutes out each night to keep my skin healthy and fresh.
