Hey guys

If you have been following my snapchat (Lyonsjess) you will have heard me going on about the July skin challenge.

I have had many people asking about anti ageing treatments and when we got chatting they were not using products that would help the skin. I wanted people to bring it back to basics for July and start with the fundamental basics to get healthy skin: a cleanser, serum and moisturiser with sunscreen.

I understand that cosmeceutical products can be more expensive but if you have a skin concern it must be treated seriously.

So let’s put it this way.
How much do you spend on make up a month?
How much to you spend online at Asos etc?

There’s nothing wrong with this but skin can be made a priority also. I got a fright last week when I went through my receipts and saw the amount I had spent on make up, most of it totally unneccessary! We have no problem splashing the cash on expensive foundations that only mask the problem and don’t help the skin. A Mac or Estée Lauder foundation is probably the same price as an active cleanser so maybe it’s time to get our priorities right if skin is a concern. ( I hope I’m making sense here!)

Specific skin issues take time to address and treatments need to be complemented with homecare.

Feel free to contact me if you would like to avail of a free skin consultation. At this time I will point you in the right direction and if you wish, will help you create a programme that will target specific concerns that suit your lifestyle and budget.

So let’s keep the skin challenge going for another week.
