Yahoo! Summer is here on this side of the world and I am just a tad excited!!!
I work in beauty and have seen some serious damage caused by the sun. Anyone that knows me will laugh reading this as I am a huge sun lover, but after four years of living in Sydney I can see a lot damage to my face and body already . So I’ve started to be careful and really be vigilant with SPF. Winter rays can be just as harmful.
Regardless of the climate or country you live in, you NEED to be wearing one. Incorporate it into your routine, have it in your make up, whatever makes it easier to remember. I am very lazy when it comes to my routine so whenever I can make it easier I do.
I like to slap on a moisturiser with an SPF and then I pack on a mineral make up that also has one.
Most of us like a tan and a glow, but avoiding sunscreen leads to wrinkles and premature aging. That’s what bronzer is there for!

Here are my top picks that suit all budgets and skin types:

1) ASAP moisture daily defence 30+ – I love, love, love this. It’s thick, hydrating and by far my go to SPF. It soaks into skin very quickly and a good one to try if your skin is on the dry or dehydrated side.
2) Invisible Zinc- this is a really thick SPF but if I know I’m going to be out in the sun for the day I choose it. It’s always my choice if exercising outside too. This is a physical block with zinc oxide so you can get that white coverage if not blended in well enough. It’s also my go too cream if I know I’m going to be at the beach. It’s not pleasant with sandy hands so apply before you get there.
3) Neutrogena Ultra Sheer sunscreen lotion SPF 50+- this is a nice light weight SPF that is non comedogenic(non pore clogging) . It glides on and is also water resistant. Good texture and good coverage.
4) Garnier BB cream UV SPF 15 – this protects the skin and gives a good glow . This comes in two shades and gives medium coverage and tint to the skin. Apply a light coverage foundation over it or wear on its own. Simples!

Always bring your SPF down your neck and across your chest. If there is any product remaining pop it on the front of your hands.
Have you tried any of these or do you a favourite? Would love to hear from you.
